Will using
remanufactured toner cartridges void my warranty?
NewproNet cannot control the
unethical actions of any company. The Sherman and Clayton Antitrust Act clearly provides
that no manufacturer be allowed to limit a warranty based on a customer using only that
manufacturer's supplies or services, or to charge for a service call just because a
customer is not using their supplies. One notable major manufacturer who had issued such a
threat to it's customers revoked the threat in writing.
Can
a toner cartridge, including a new OEM, damage my printer?
With over 250,000 cartridges produced using the NewproNet
Manufacturing Process, not one substantiated claim has been made concerning a Genuine
NewproNet remanufactured cartridge causing any damage to a laser printer. It is our
understanding, however, that any company found negligent in producing a product that is
purchased and subsequently causes damage through normal use is liable to repair the damage
caused. We have provided for such an instance in our product warranty.
How
dependable is NewproNet and it's toner cartridges?
NewproNet is proud to be
"Nationally" recognized as one of the oldest producers of quality remanufactured
toner cartridges, an honor shared by only a few in the country. This distinction was
earned by refusing to compromise the quality of the product or integrity of the company by
offering substandard products to compete in price with other "refilled or
recycled" products offered.
Is
a Genuine NewproNet toner cartridge worth the price?
We are priced much lower than an original OEM cartridge and
generally a little higher that many recyclers and refillers in the industry. Our
cartridges are designed to compete primarily with original OEM products rather than the
less expensive and often unreliable refilled or recycled products. The NewproNet
Remanufacturing Process, though making our cartridges more costly to produce, is necessary
to achieve the quality and consistency our customers prefer and have become accustomed to.
Aren't
all recharged cartridges & companies about the same?
There are important differences in "recharging"
companies and the products that they offer. Manufacturing methods, knowledge, experience,
selection of toners as well as replacement parts are only a few of the many variables.
Customer service, consistent value and dependability of delivery are other important
considerations. The following are the most common manufacturing methods that we are aware
of;
"DRILL & FILL" (also known as recharging or refilling) - Holes are often drilled
in the toner cartridge, one to dump the excess toner waste and the other to refill the
cartridge with toner. The holes are then covered, often with black electrical tape.
Disadvantages: Possible contamination with plastic particles that may not have
been completely removed from the cartridge after the drilling process. Proper inspection
and cleaning of most of the critical parts is often not performed. This was an ill
conceived method that never worked, contaminated a lot of printers and made many customers
very unhappy, so much so that they assumed recycling was not a viable option.
"RECONDITIONING" (also known as or refurbishing) - A cartridge usually goes through a disassembly
and cleaning procedure prior to refilling with toner. The cartridge is then reassembled,
usually with the exact same parts acquired from the disassembly procedure.
Disadvantages: Worn parts are not usually replaced, generally wearing out after 1
cycle, or even before the toner cartridge is completely empty. The customer is then placed
in a position of purchasing a new OEM cartridge every other cycle to maintain some level
of quality. As a result, the average cost per cartridge used is somewhat higher, as much
as 20% to 40% higher than the advertised price for reconditioned cartridges.
"REMANUFACTURING" (also known as rebuilding) - Worn parts are generally replaced and a more
effective cleaning process usually takes place. Depending on the remanufacturer, customers
usually get their own cartridges back.
Disadvantages: Not very many. However, since different types of toners are used
for the many different types of cartridges, parts may be contaminated if they are produced
side by side. This is most common when customers receive their own cartridges back. The
result is excessive streaking or void areas on the printed pages.
"DEALERS
or WHOLESALERS" (do not make their own cartridges) - They
may have their customer's cartridges recycled or provide cartridges from firms using one
of the above, or other methods.
Disadvantages: The customer relies on the dealer to select a vendor who produces a
reliable product, or so they hope. There is no guarantee the dealer will select the right
vendor, or use the same vendor all the time. If the dealer shops around for price, their
customers may experience a variance in print quality and consistency from one cartridge to
the next or one order to the next. Best to deal direct with the manufacturer, don't you
agree?
"THE

vendor did not deliver what you expected, you would probably still be recycling today!!
